Great art begins with a great concept. This workshop instructs students at all ability levels on how to create unique and meaningful art. Escape the ordinary and learn to paint the extraordinary!
Kathy uses a proven method to teach her students how to develop a concept for a painting that is unique and meaningful. Next, she provides instruction on how to express a concept in a painting by altering the key elements of design so that they support the intended meaning. Kathy then demonstrates how to use a concept to create a series of paintings that is uniquely meaningful, technically consistent and masterful. Daily instruction is followed by student engagement in this think - write - paint - share workshop. By the week's end, students will have all the tools necessary to create unique and meaningful art for a life time.
Kathy teaches with warmth, humor, enthusiasm, and insight. As an experienced teacher and award-winning artist, she is able to help students develop and improve technical skills in painting as well as concept development. This workshop provides painters in all mediums with the necessary tools required to create great art!
